ISL: Enes Sipović set to extend his stay at Chennaiyin FC

Months of silence from CFC camp is finally coming to an end.

Our sources can confirm that the Bosnian Center back is in advance talks with Chennaiyin FC over his contract extension but it is understood that the pandemic might have an impact on the contract renewal.

Enes Sipovic is a former Bosnia and Herzegovina U-21 international who came through the youth ranks of FK Željeznicar in Sarajevo. He was an academy junior to Edin Dzeko at FK Željezničar.

He is an imposing presence in Chennaiyin FC defense and was a real threat in areal duels with his height. Enes made 20 interceptions and 79 clearances from 18 appearances for the south club. Also he was sent off in the encounter against their archrivals Kerala Blasters FC.

Chennaiyin FC is looking to bounce back from last season's low finish. They have recently announced the contract extensions of Indian midfielder Edwin Sydney Vanspaul for the upcoming ISL season making their intentions of building a core team known.
