Kerala United has signed Aaron Awannorh, the 24-year-old hailing from Ghana stands at 6.13 ft with a build that aids his physicality. Aaron seems to be a prevailing addition to Kerala united’s striking capabilities.
The Ghanaian started his career at Ambah FC academy and Emmanuel City in Ghana in 2013. With an impressive record of 18 goals in his pioneer season, Aaron scored a total of 53 in Ambah FC and Emmanuel City.
The player then made a move to Tema Youth SC in Ghana’s Premier League in 2017. Aaron played 31 matches and managed to score 19 goals and garnered 8 assists. The numbers look pretty impressive for the young striker he is.
The important aspect to be noticed here is that Aaron is just 24 years and comes after an impressive season. As the landscape of foreigners landing in Indian football is changing from older to the younger and prime ones. This is a welcome move for Kerala football and Indian football.
When asked about his expectations from the stint. The Ghanian says “ The club has set a target and I will help them achieve that aim… I am here to score as a striker and I have to do that for the club to achieve its aim”.
With the impressive foreign and domestic signings in this transfer market, looks like Kerala United is leaving no stone unturned to dominate the league.
