Exclusive : Kerala United signs Ghanaian forward Francis Dadzie ahead of the Kerala Premier League

Kerala Premier League side Kerala United signed Ghanaian attacker Francis Dadzie. He has represented ISL outfit Northeast United in 2015, scoring a goal in eleven matches.

His career started shaping up when he was spotted by an agent during his college days. After finishing senior high school, he joined a team called Astronomers from the Central Region where he scored nine goals for the team before moving to Elimina Sharks. He was part of the team when the Sharks won the league and qualified for the first division. The 25-year old has represented Asante Kotko, a Ghanaian Professional League club, and moved on to sign for Bechem United FC.

He has also represented the Cheetah FC, where he scored a total of 24 goals, securing the golden boot.

His lone goal in the ISL came against FC Goa where the Highlanders lost to a 3-1 scoreline.

Before joining the Highlanders and arriving in India, Dadzie also went on trials with Americal Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers.

The striker played for Sporting Clube de Goa in the Goan Professional League back in 2016 and was also signed for I-League outfit Aizwal FC for the 2018-19 campaign.

After a few setbacks in his career, Dadzie is all set for the new challenge in Kerala and shared his expectations.

"My expectations with Kerala United is to help the club move forward with my experience, help them to get into the level which they want to reach, and also win with Cups with them," Dadzie told exclusively to FA Sports Malayalam.

The Malapuram based club will be playing its inaugural state league, which is set to begin on March 6th. The team hornbills are grouped with Kerala Blasters, MA college, Golden Threads FC, Kovalam FC, and KSEB in group A and will play their games at Ernakulam.
