Kerala United FC have added another youngster to strengthen their midfield. They have signed versatile midfielder Najeeb. P.
Najeeb, 19 year old young boy, hails from Wayanad. A natural defensive midfielder by position, Najeeb can also play as attacking midfielder. But he loves to sit back and help the defense.
He started his career from a club in his hometown, Dyna Football Academy. He plays for Wayanad Hill's Football Academy during the off-season. He has also participated in camps conducted by Wayanad District Football Association. Last year he was part of Gokulam Kerala FC's U18 team, who played in the U18 I-League. Najeeb has also played local clubs in his hometown like Wayanad FC, Nova etc. He played for the Kerala State team in the same year he played for District team.
Najeeb was a part of Wayanad District team who finished as third runners-up in the Kerala Football Association Championship held at Kasargod. With MMM Higher Secondary School, Kuttayi, Tirur he won the "Joy Cup" which took place at Coimbatore. He has played in Khelo India National games for Kerala Senior team during 2018-19. He played in the U18 youth league with Gokulam Kerala FC youth team.
"I am very glad that I could play with many Senior players in Kerala United FC. Attending camps with them and sharing the same field will be very helpful for my future. I am really looking forward for those oppurtunities." - says Najeeb on his expectations about playing for Kerala United FC.
