Real Kashmir won comfortably against CFL winners

Real Kashmir came back from behind to defeat the strong Peerless SC 2-1 on the opening day of the 123rd IFA Shield held on Sunday. All the goals were scored in the first half of this Group-B game.Peerless shot into the lead in the 20th minute after their striker Uttam Rai scored with a header off a well-crafted move initiated by Sujay Dutta.Fighting back, Real Kashmir took just five minutes to restore parity when their striker Chesterpoul slotted home from a neat pass by Danish Farooq. Real Kashmir clinched the issue in the 32nd minute. An assist by Abhash Thapa from the left flank was converted by Farooq, who was declared the Man-of-the-match.Real Kashmir play Aryan on 9th December, 2020, at the Kalyani Stadium.
